Here we go Spring 2023 – a Letter from our Owner!
March is here and we are excited to see all of you soon. As we put another great season behind us we look forward to providing the best service possible and embracing the changes and challenges ahead in 2023.
Spring is just around the corner and lots of planning is taking place to get ready. Employee training and equipment checks have begun and it won’t be long before we are on site to service your automatic sprinkler system. Water is a precious commodity and we are all concerned about the role it will play in sustaining your landscape and how efficiently we can provide that for you.
I want to encourage everyone to ask about water conservation ideas during Spring Activations or on the phone scheduling service. We are excited that more than 30% of you have upgraded your timer to save up to 50% on your watering bill and encourage all of you that have not yet done so, to inquire about this equipment and if it would be a good fit for your site. The Hydrawise controllers have been amazing and we offer full support and monitoring to assist with your water saving equipment.
All branches (Central, Northern, Metrowest, Southshore, Boston) will be opening by March 25th (weather permitting) to begin activating your systems for the season. Please read below for some great tips and important information about how you can keep your landscape better than ever and what’s new for 2023.

This year, Employee Appreciation Day lands on March 3rd, and every year it feels more important than the year before. On a company level, our staff strive to be valued, appreciated and connected to their coworkers and the customers they work for. Being a family business, we are constantly striving to support them and that elusive sense of being seen, heard and valued. Appreciation here is not a one-and-done event that comes around once a year that we can then check off for the next 364 days. We have always and will always believe that our employees are our greatest asset at Wilde Companies. We could not do what we do on a daily basis without a staff like ours! Thank you both to our dedicated employees and customers.

PREPAYS SUSPENDED:
After many years we have decided to suspend our PREPAY program in order to help streamline the process and allow customers to pay for service after service has been provided. All customers will still receive the same scheduling and effort to meet everyone’s timing and service needs as we work hard to pre schedule regular Spring Activation services. Electronic notices for service turn on dates will begin going out by March 20th in preparation for Spring 2023 openings.
Pricing continues to be our biggest challenge to hang on to. As we are all well aware, we are continuing to see fuel, labor burden and product costs increasing. We will need to adjust some sites based on size of systems to accommodate the extra time needed to offer the best service. If you have questions about your pricing please feel free to call the office and discuss it with someone from our team.

We will be hosting an open house on March 10th at our headquarters in Holden MA from 10am-2pm .. come see what it would be like to work outside in an atmosphere where quality is important and you are responsible to complete tasks while improving and maintaining lawns, plants and beautiful landscapes. We all know at least one person that may need a change or need a chance to prove themselves. I recommend you to help them reach out and see if a career in the Green Industry might be the right fit with The Wilde Companies. Part time and full time positions are available in our Irrigation Division, Drip Container Division, Lighting Division and Office Administration.
